So 2008 is here and, by all accounts, it is going to be a tough year for consumers, thanks mainly to the recent spate of interest rate hikes.
All that quick, easy credit has come back to bite us… hard.
And this month is probably the toughest month of all for parents of schoolgoing children, with uniforms and stationery to find money for on top of everything else.
January is also the month when our annual insurance and medical aid premium increases kick in.
