Dear friend of Crown, please read our newsletter for October 2013!
It is October, the last term of 2013, this year really flew by!
Technological advancement nowadays is unbelievable and makes everything easier and much quicker. The world became smaller. We can get into touch with almost anyone anywhere with the simple touch of a button. If we look at economic and social circumstances worldwide and in our own country, we sometimes just want to shake our heads. When we stop at the petrol station or supermarket, the rand doesn't seem to stretch so far anymore.
Our emotions fluctuates between feeling hopeful and hopeless, and sometimes it feels like the negatives overshadow the positives...
Thankfully, during these uncertain times, we can be confident in this:
God is still in control, He is the Provider and will always hold us in His hands.
Psalm 121 gives us the assurance that He who made heaven and earth and Who is always with us, He is the One who cares for us deeply.
We've had a full and blessed year at Crown so far with many highlights! Once again we've had the privilege this year to serve and supply congregations of different denominations across South Africa with various small group study materials regarding biblical stewardship and how to manage finances and possessions in God's way.
We continually receive testimonies of people who have gotten new hope for their finances while learning about and implementing God's principles on stewardship in their own lives.
With the 10 week Biblical Financial Small Group Study course as well as the 8 week DVD study "Discovering God's Way of Handling Money", we have reached nearly 600 people this year alone. Praise the Lord!
Every person is very important and precious to the Lord. He created each individual with his/her own design, personality and with a specific purpose here on earth.
God has given Crown ministries a powerful instrument that enables us to comprehensively test individuals for career choices. With Career Direct we can help them to find out who they really are and what they can (and want to) do here on earth.
Children in Gr. 9 who have to make their subject choices benefit alot by doing Career Direct, as well as Gr. 12 learners who have to decide about their tertiary courses and subjects.
We have trained 29 Career Direct consultants so far this year and we already have more than 100 active consultants nationwide. Very recently we have trained 14 consultants in Johannesburg and what is particularly exciting this time is the fact that 12 of the 14 consultants were representing 5 different schools in the area. Principals and teachers are becoming aware of the value of Career Direct assessments as a counseling instrument to help with wise decision making for the future...
We have taken the existing Afrikaans workbook "Die ABC van Hoe om Geld op God se Manier te Hanteer" (a bible-based study for 5 to 7 year old children), and have transformed it into a new and beautiful creative workbook!
Along with this, we have also produced the stories in the new workbook on a high quality audio CD which results in the characters coming to life in an exciting way throughout the 12 chapters to take the children through this spontaneous and practical journey of learning to apply the godly principles of handling their finances. The Treasure Chest set can also be used along with the workbook and audio CD to make a complete and very useful learning package for the kids.

Thank you so much to our donors who stand by us with their monthly contributions and to those who faithfully pray for us. Also to those persons who help as small group study leaders and facilitators, Career Direct consultants and the rest of the people working in the field. Thank you!!
Know that you have a large share in the many testimonies of people's lives being touched and transformed as a result of your faithfulness. Thank You Lord, for Your loving care over us all.
